The ISA library is a specialized library housing select copies of publications dealing on spirituality studies and other related literatures.


The ISA Library exists to serve the educational and research objectives of the Institute of Spirituality in Asia. Its vision is anchored on the provision of a relevant collection of resources/materials for the scientific study of spirituality from a multi-disciplinary approach.

Hence, the ISA Library envisions to be a prime center for the search and research of the different notions and realms of spirituality and faith traditions in the Philippines and in Asia. It has a core mission to serve the needs of the institute and to promote and develop a culture of research in the field of Spirituality.

Therefore, ISA Library strives to work out the following goals:

Provide a space for researchers and students to support their inquiry, investigation, report, survey and similar endeavors in the field of Spirituality and similar academic disciplines.

Offer services to support and assist researchers in their projects or studies by providing a comprehensive range of materials in the field of Spirituality.





In the next five years, ISA library shall strive to provide the following services to its clientele:

Access to the Main Collection, where the holdings are provided for the clients’ library needs (browsing, referencing, borrowing, and/or reproduction).
The Reference Service of the Library assists any user with the discovery and location of information that the library is unable itself to provide. ISA library shall maintain an updated bibliographic list of publications, including graduate theses and dissertations on Spirituality, from major universities and major theological centers in the region.
The Online Research Database assists the library user to crosscheck and find materials, which could be sourced electronically from web-based databases.
